Kinetix Kick off Ambitious Spring Tour

Estimated read time 2 min read

Denver’s own Kinetix has just kicked off an ambitious spring tour that will wind up with a triumphant homecoming show at the Gothic Theatre on May 14th.  Below is the text from the bands tour announcement.

“Kinetix will be hitting the road in early April and we can’t wait to start the tour. Pete Koopmans will be debuting on drums nationwide, so come on out and see just how hard Koopa Troopa can rock. He’s nasty. The tour is action packed; we’ve got loads of new material (EP this summer..shhhh), Wakarusa pre-parties, a sure-to-be-fire Minneapolis show with Zach Deputy, an east coast run with Indobox, and a whole bunch of other suprises in store. Spring’s here and summer’s coming, time to shake off the snow and let loose. See you all soon! -Kinetix”

Music has always been a part of my life. It probably all started listening to old Grateful Dead, Peter Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkel records that my parents had, but it wasn't long before they were taking me to concerts like Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Huey Lewis & The News. I got the bug to write about music after reviewing an Eric Clapton concert for a creative writing project in high school but didn't really take it up seriously until 2002. Since then I have published countless articles in The Marquee Magazine and done some work for Jambase.com, SPIN Magazine, and various other outlets. I started Listen Up Denver! as a way to share the music information that is constantly spilling out of my head with people who care. Please enjoy!
