Boulder’s own instrumental jazz/funk group Springdale Quartet, winners of the 2011 Telluride Jazz Celebration Band Contest, have announced that they will be working with Alan Evans (Soulive, Alan Evans Trio, Royal Family Records) to record, produce, and mix their upcoming full-length release, set to be recorded in January, 2013. The still untitled record will be the group’s second, following their 2011 debut Noisefactory, and will be tracked at Evergroove Studio in Evergreen, Colorado.
