Estimated read time 1 min read

In a strange collision of superstar Latino entertainers, Reverb has just revealed news that legendary guitarist Carlos Santana and his band will co-headline Red Rocks with comedian and late night talk show host, George Lopez on September 3rd and 4th.   Apparently the show, which has been dubbed “Divine Rascals” will feature a full set of music from Santana, and a full stand-up set from George Lopez.

“I’m delighted to be going on the road with George Lopez,” Santana said in press materials. “Besides giving me the chance to perform alongside a dear friend, these shows take me back to the grand old Bill Graham days, when different kinds of entertainment were featured on the same bill. ‘Divine Rascals’ will be a joyous experience.”

Tickets, $45-$100, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday May 14.  Click here for tickets for the 3rd, and here for tickets for the 4th.

Music has always been a part of my life. It probably all started listening to old Grateful Dead, Peter Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkel records that my parents had, but it wasn't long before they were taking me to concerts like Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Huey Lewis & The News. I got the bug to write about music after reviewing an Eric Clapton concert for a creative writing project in high school but didn't really take it up seriously until 2002. Since then I have published countless articles in The Marquee Magazine and done some work for Jambase.com, SPIN Magazine, and various other outlets. I started Listen Up Denver! as a way to share the music information that is constantly spilling out of my head with people who care. Please enjoy!
