DeadPhish Orchestra Is Hitting The Patio At Quixotes This Weekend

Estimated read time 1 min read

DeadPhish Orchestra will be taking to the patio at Quixotes Friday and Saturday night this weekend.  Though they play relatively few shows, the act has made a name for itself around the region over the past couple of years by seamlessly weaving together the music of The Grateful Dead and Phish and features members of Great American Taxi, Phix and Mason’s Children.  You might be lucky enough to hear “My Friend, My Friend” ->”Friend of the Devil” or “You Enjoy Myself” -> “Viola Lee Blues.”

On Saturday, DJ Logic will join DeadPhish Orchestra for two sets spinning his infectious grooves through a seamless blend of Phish and The Dead.  Throughout the weekend, California’s premiere Dead Tribute act, Cubensis will light the song with sense and color on the inside.  Quixote’s will be rockin!  The first DPO set will start promptly at 9PM, so get down there early!

Music has always been a part of my life. It probably all started listening to old Grateful Dead, Peter Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkel records that my parents had, but it wasn't long before they were taking me to concerts like Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Huey Lewis & The News. I got the bug to write about music after reviewing an Eric Clapton concert for a creative writing project in high school but didn't really take it up seriously until 2002. Since then I have published countless articles in The Marquee Magazine and done some work for Jambase.com, SPIN Magazine, and various other outlets. I started Listen Up Denver! as a way to share the music information that is constantly spilling out of my head with people who care. Please enjoy!
