Rose Hill Drive Announce New Album And Dates With STP

Estimated read time 2 min read

Boulder’s Rose Hill Drive is back after an extended hiatus and they seem to be picking up right where they left off a few years ago.  In April they opened a string of shows for Stone Temple Pilots and after a few shows of their own right here in Colorado (June 17th at The Bluebird & July 9th in Telluride Town Park for the 15th Annual KOTO Doo-Dah Day) they will rejoin STP for a run of shows lasting about a month.

In other news, the band has announced that they will be release a long awaited third studio record July 12th on their own Slow and Shirley records.  They also recently revealed that they have ditched the power trio format and added Bass Player Jimmy Stofer to the line-up.  Stofer previously played with local alt-country outfit Hello Kavita.

Music has always been a part of my life. It probably all started listening to old Grateful Dead, Peter Paul & Mary, and Simon & Garfunkel records that my parents had, but it wasn't long before they were taking me to concerts like Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Huey Lewis & The News. I got the bug to write about music after reviewing an Eric Clapton concert for a creative writing project in high school but didn't really take it up seriously until 2002. Since then I have published countless articles in The Marquee Magazine and done some work for Jambase.com, SPIN Magazine, and various other outlets. I started Listen Up Denver! as a way to share the music information that is constantly spilling out of my head with people who care. Please enjoy!
