Our friends over at Jambands.com ran this interesting piece on how the Foo Fighters plan to stick it to tickets scalpers. For there extensive 2015 North American tour the band plans to sell tickets early at local box offices. They call it “Beat The Bots,” as the move is aimed at scalpers who buy large quantities of tickets online using “scalper bots” and then sell them for exorbitant prices.

The Foo Fighters kick of the tour in Washington D.C. at RFK stadium before journeying across North America for a massive 27 date tour that includes more than a few arenas and stadiums, stretching through the summer and fall of 2015. Whether or not “Beat The Bots” puts scalpers in there place is yet to be seen but at least someone is throwing creative solutions at the problem. The Foo Fighters will be joined by British Rock duo Royal Blood for their Denver date on August 17th at Fiddler’s Green. There is a 2 ticket limit for the GA Pit; and a 4 ticket limit for the reserved seating area and general admission lawn. Public on-sale is 10am Friday, December 5th via AXS.com.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
