Why You Should Go: The Premier UllrGrass music and beer festival will be held in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Golden, CO Friday January 30 – Sunday February 1. It will be a magical weekend when the Norse God of snow comes to this little western town to raise his drinking horn to craft beer, great bluegrass and a crowd that knows how to have fun in winter.

The Promoters of Yarmonygrass Music Festival, Clear Creek Rapidgrass Bluegrass Festival, Clear Creek Concert Series, and the Golden Fine Arts Festival Entertainment are very excited to announce the line-up for the First Annual UllrGrass Music Festival. It’ll be a homecoming of sorts for our good friends Head for the Hills headlining the festival on Saturday night, along with Peter Rowan & UllrGrass All-Stars (featuring Andy Thorn, Andy Hall, Tyler Grant, Greg Garrison and Luke Bulla), closing out the Buffalo Rose Ballroom on Friday night. Also rocking the various stages at Buffalo Rose, Parfet Park, Mountain Toad Brewing, and the Golden Hotel will be Chris Thompson & Coral Creek, Rapidgrass Quintet, The Drunken Hearts, The Grant Farm, Ragged Union, Thunder and Rain, Whiskey Tango, Kitchen Dwellers, Uptown Toodeloo String Band, Jayme Stone, Caribou Mountain Collective, The Sweet Lillies, Gypsy Cattle Drive, Bill McKay, Burn It Blue and more! This is a festival you don’t want to miss!

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
