AEG Live is excited to announce MARK KNOPFLER AND BAND live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Legendary musician and songwriter Mark Knopfler will celebrate the release of his new record, Tracker, due March 17 on Verve Records, with a 36-city North American tour that kicks off in Vancouver on September 10 and continues through the end of October. Fans that purchase tickets to ‘An Evening with Mark Knopfler and Band’ online will receive a physical copy of Tracker for each pair of tickets purchased.

Says Knopfler, ‘Part of the fun is thinking what you might have a go at, for a new tour. For me, that’s part of the joy of it, getting that little crew together again, and setting sail once again. It’s a real adventure.’ Knopfler has always viewed touring as the final part of the process running from songwriting through recording and ending up on the road performing old and new songs. He now writes more music while actually on the road. ‘The songs ‘Lights of Taormina’ and ‘Silver Eagle’ came into being partly through my trips in Europe and the U.S. with Bob Dylan.’ Tracker marks the eight solo recording from Knopfler, who Rolling Stone praises as one of the ‘100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.’

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
