Denver’s own Yamn is thrilled to announce their West Coast winter tour. The tour will kick off in Denver on March 6 and will continue through Colorado hitting mountain towns, Frisco, Vail, Winter Park, Steamboat and Breckenridge before the quartet heads west to Salt Lake City, Moscow, Bend and Portland, to name a few.

Yamn is one of the most progressive Rock-tronic acts in the Denver music scene. Their sound combines soulful rock elements that soar over heart-warming peaks and drive into head-banging rock riffs with entrancing synth melodies, hard dance beats and electronic overtones. Their live experience scintillates the senses with courageous beats and grooves that cause instant, contagious grins to ripple across the undulating crowds. Yamn has also become well known for their extensive lighting design, which enhances their full-bodied, crisp melodies and free-flowing power jams, elevating the whole experience to a world-class rock show.

Their second full-length album, Unity of Opposites, perfectly states the band’s mastery of fusion. The 14-song, double-disc album covers Yamn’s musical versatility. Touching mainly on straight up Rock n’ Roll and Live Electronica, the music creates an original, very unique sound. The album makes the point that by combining two “opposite” genres, a band can create a blend of sound that is both original and enjoyable to the ear.

With more than 150,000 miles under their belt, the trance-fusion rockers continue hurtling toward their evolving vision. As their dedication, virtuosity and pure enjoyment propel them across the United States, Yamn’s focus remains on the here, the now and the what-is-to-be while continually fulfilling the journey of enhancing their lives and the lives of those listening with powerful and seductive sounds.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
