In a celebration of Community and Inspiration, the next generation of music producers, painters and pranksters is convening at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Saturday May 16, 2015. Highly regarded electronic music pioneer Tipper, mystic visionary artist Alex Grey, and their extended tribe of fellow neo-artisans are bringing a caravan of psychedelic offerings for an audio-visual feast never before presented at this historic venue.

Convening in the same spirit that permeates community gatherings at transformational events nationally, these occasions are becoming more and more the norm, and attendees can expect a cornucopia of energy, light, sound, and color akin to a single day at Burning Man. Industry insiders are buzzing with the news that this presentation featuring underground music and art is attracting ticket buyers from all over the nation, and at current pace will sell out well in advance. Tipper headlines many of these festivals, where his music is well received by the culture of caring and co-creation.

David Tipper, or Tipper for short, is a British composer and producer specializing in electronic music that ranges from ambient through trip hop, to midtempo glitch hop and genre defying uptempo dance floor that can only be described as Tippermusic. Active since the 1990’s, he has released twelve albums, ten EP’s, and boasts a catalogue that contains a 5.1 surround sound DVD release alongside vinyl LP’s that are still collected and valued to this day. Unusual in this day and age, Tipper is known for participating very minimally with the press and media opportunities, preferring to let his music and performances to be the focus of his work. Accordingly, his passionate fan-base assembles enthusiastically for his not too frequent appearances, as each one promises new and unreleased music that is the staple of his shows. This will mark Tipper’s first appearance at Red Rocks as well as the first time the world class Funktion One sound system will be engaged at the venue.

Alex Grey is an American artist specializing in spiritual and psychedelic art (or visionary art) that is sometimes associated with the New Age movement. He met his wife, the artist Allyson Grey in the mid 1970’s, and during this period he had a series of entheogenically induced mystical experiences that transformed his agnostic existentialism to a radical transcendentalism. His unique series of 21 life-sized paintings, the Sacred Mirrors (to be on display at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in Wappinger, New York), takes the viewer on a journey toward their own divine nature by examining, in detail, the mind, body, and spirit.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
