Why You Should Go: From the blossoming Colorado music scene comes Analog Son. The brainchild of Jordan Linit (Kinetix/Ableminds) and Josh Fairman (Kinetix), the project incorporates a rotating cast of players including members of the Shady Horns, The MotetLettuceNew Mastersounds and Ivan Neville of Dumstaphunk. A Funk band loaded to the brim with heavy-hitters, Analog Son is a collaborative effort that brings the best in the business together on a single stage for unforgettable performances and landmark jams and is not simply a bi-product of the vibrant Colorado music scene.

What can only be described as a super group of extraordinary proportions, Analog Son will be performing together at the Bluebird Theater this March 7th and will feature Nigel Hall (Lettuce, Soulive, Nth Power) and Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident, EOTO) along with a number of featured performers known both locally and nationally including support from ATOMGA and Abstract Collective. There is a lot of good music coming out of Denver these days, but something about Analog Son is different. The long-standing relationship between Linit and Fairman that is at the core of this project provides some solid bedrock for it to stand on, and their deep musical knowledge, pedigree and steadfast dedication to their craft give it wings.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
