NCIA, the legal cannabis industry’s national trade association, is bringing together a host of world-class musicians supporting the growth of a responsible cannabis industry for the second edition of “Cannabis Carnival”, a multi-sensory fundraising and concert experience taking place on June 30th at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO during NCIA’s annual Cannabis Business Summit & Expo.

Internationally renowned “avant-groove” jazz-funk trio Medeski Martin & Wood will be headlining the event. They will be joined by revolving improvisational supergroup Everyone Orchestra, conducted by Matt Butler and featuring members of The String Cheese Incident, Big Gigantic, Papadosio, The Motet, Tea Leaf Green, Elephant Revival, The Bridge, and The Congress. Rounding out the musical offerings will be performance collective Quixotic, which melds dance, aerial acrobatics, projection mapping, high fashion, and original live music into a majestically beautiful performance that must be seen to be believed. Starting off the evening with a solo DJ set will be Rob Garza, multi-instrumentalist and founding member of Thievery Corporation.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
