The Travelin’ McCourys are made up of 80% of the Del McCoury Band, as sons of the bluegrass legend Ronnie McCoury (mandolin) and Rob McCoury (banjo) continue their father’s work – a lifelong dedication to the power of bluegrass music to bring joy into people’s lives.  With fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram, the ensemble is loved and respected by the bluegrass faithful.  But the band is now combining their sound with others to make something fresh and rejuvenating.  The McCourys don’t stand still, they are on the road – and online – entertaining audiences with live music that includes some of the best musicians and singers from all genres; always different, always exciting and always great music. The Travelin’ McCourys will be supported at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom November 6th by Wood and Wire.

The Travelin’ McCourys recently released and album with Keller Williams to critical acclaim.  The album is a wonderful mixture of Keller’s easy-going Americana style and The Travelin’ McCourys precise mastery of Bluegrass.  The McCourys have also been hitting the road with bluegrass all stars Peter Rowan and Tony Rice in a tribute to Bill Monroe.  It is true, they do not sit still!

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
