CHAUTAQUA AND Z2 ENTERTANIMENT

Today, independent concert company Z2 Entertainment (Z2) and the Colorado Chautauqua Association (CCA) announce Z2 has been named the exclusive promoter for the Chautauqua Summer Concert Series. The series takes place each summer season at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium, a 1,326 capacity venue located at the foothills of Boulder, Colorado.

“Chautauqua Auditorium is an historic jewel of our community and we’re honored to be working with the CCA,” said Z2 CEO Cheryl Liguori. “This partnership provides a great opportunity to bring more music to Boulder audiences under the Z2 family of venues.”

Ann Obenchain, Director of Marketing and Development for the Colorado Chautauqua Association, adds “Z2’s reputation and experience in booking and producing the region’s live music performances is unparalleled. We’re looking forward to partnering with Z2 to continue Chautauqua’s 118 year old tradition of bringing unique and inspiring entertainment to the Boulder community.”

Independent concert company Z2 Entertainment formed in 2010 when two iconic Boulder music venues, The Fox Theatre and Boulder Theater, merged. Z2 Talent Buyer David Weingarden and co-Talent Buyer Chris Peck also book the summer concert series at the Mishawaka Amphitheater, a 1,000 capacity venue located outside of Fort Collins, Colorado.  Weingarden successfully booked the Denver Botanic Garden’s summer concert series during his years as Director of Concerts at Swallow Hill Music before joining Z2 in Fall of 2013.

The Colorado Chautauqua is a National Historic Landmark and has entertained Boulder through the summer months for over a century.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
