1up-Colfax Cancels All Future Live Music Performances

Two years ago, The 1up – Colfax expanded its arcade bar business to include a live music venue. Since that time it has hosted some of the top names in the industry including The Dean Ween Group, Umphrey’s McGee, Sam Bush, Jamie xx and Michal Menert. But all good things must end. Effective immediately, the popular club will stop holding live events and focus on its core business. The 1up – Colfax will return to its roots and continue to operate as an arcade bar like the original The 1up location in the LoDo neighborhood. It is also working toward opening a third Denver area location in 2016.

“The past two years have been an amazing journey,” said Jourdan Adler, owner of The 1up locations. “Working with all the incredible artists who created so many magical memories for our customers will always be a highlight. But the music industry is much different from our core business. We are working on developing a third location and felt it best to refocus our efforts on arcade bars.”

Ticket holders for scheduled shows will be issued full refunds. Tickets purchased online will automatically be refunded by November 20. If after that date a refund is not received, or if the ticket was purchased via the venue box office, contact info@1up2up.com for further assistance.

The 1up opened its first location in 2011. Located just feet from the home plate entrance to Coors Field, it offers its own twist on the arcade bar concept featuring more than 45 classic arcade games, 16 pinball machines, three lanes of classic Skee-Ball, multiple sets of Giant Jenga, 14 beers on tap, a solid selection of 40 oz. bottles of malt liquor, full bar and delicious food.

In 2012, it opened its second location, The 1up – Colfax. Located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, it boasts the largest collection of pinball machines in the metro area and one of the largest in Colorado. It features more than 45 classic arcade games, 19 pinball machines, three lanes of classic Skee-Ball, 12 beers on tap and a full bar.
