This morning the 2016 Grammy Nominations were revealed and one of our favorites, Jason Isbell, earned two nominations, including Best American Album for his stellar recent release Something More Than Free and Best American Roots Song for the album’s lead single “24 Frames.”  Isbell was famously snubbed for the Best American Album award when his breakout record, Southeastern, was eligible for the award so it’s great to see him finally recognized.

If you’d like to see Isbell perform tracks from both albums live and in the flesh, you’ve got a chance this weekend when he sets up shop at The Ogden Theatre on Thursday and Friday nights with his band The 400 Unit.  Both shows are currently Sold-Out, but keep on eye on Craiglist for last minute extras floating around.  Check Isbell’s latest lyric video for the stunning “Children of Children.”  It’s worth every second of your time.
