Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile and high energy old-time string band Old Crow Medicine Show are teaming up for a co-headlining tour, which was announced yesterday via Rolling Stone Country. Kicking off at the beautiful Fox Theatre in Atlanta on April 30th, the sixteen-date run will conclude at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA with highlights including a night at The Fox Theatre in Detroit and a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. Fans can look forward to a double dose of music, as Brandi and Old Crow collaborate on a handful of songs nightly in addition to performing separate sets.
Brandi Carlile is excited to bring her show to fans out on the road with Old Crow Medicine Show this summer, saying “Those boys don’t put on a show, they throw a party! That’s the way I want to spend my summer — throwing a party for our crowd with all my buddies.” Brandi is touring in support of her Grammy-nominated and highest charting album to date, The Firewatcher’s Daughter. The album reached the top 10 in the Billboard 200, and reached #1 on the Rock album chart, #1 on the Independent album chart and #9 on the Billboard 200. She has recently made appearances on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Conan and CBS Saturday Morning.
Gearing up for the tour, Old Crow Medicine Show created their very own music video and rendition of Brandi’s song “Alibi.” Rolling Stone Country exclusively premiered the video, which challenges Brandi to cover an Old Crow tune. In response, Brandi Carlile unveiled her own video and interpretation of Old Crow Medicine Show’s song “Sweet Home.” Fans can view both videos, HERE.
“Old Crow found a kindred spirit in Brandi Carlile. We’re so excited to make a joyful noise together this year out on the highways and byways of America,” shared Old Crow’s Ketch Secor. The two time Grammy award-winning band is touring in support of their album Remedy (ATO Records). An unwavering force, Grand Ole Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show are proudly and successfully doing their part to continue and celebrate the integrity of roots and country music in the modern era.

Nate Todd

Nate Todd was born on the central plains of Nebraska, but grew up on the high plains of the Texas panhandle. With not much to do in either place, music was his constant companion. His parents dubbed the first two albums he ever owned onto a tape for him. Side A was Bert and Ernie’s Sing Along. Side B was Sgt. Peppers. His lifelong love affair with music started early as he practically grew up in a Rock & Roll band, with his father and uncle often taking him out on the road or into the studio with them. Nate began performing live at sixteen and hasn’t looked back, having played in numerous bands from L.A. to Austin. At the age of twenty he was bitten by the writing bug, and upon moving to Denver decided to pursue a degree from Metropolitan State University where he recently graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Cinema Studies.
