Why You Should Go: This Fall, mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile took over as the new host of American Public Media’s A Prairie Home Companion. Each week, Chris will feature incredible live performances from an array of special musical guests — some known by all, and some who soon will be — along with a bit of comedy and spoken word, plus Chris will compose and perform a unique new song each week.
For this performance in Denver, Thile has invited Colorado’s favorite red headed guitarist, Trey Anastasio of Phish, along with female Folk Rock trio The Staves, and comedienne Tig Notaro to perform alongside him in the intimate confines of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. This will be an afternoon to remember!
