While I’m usually a first note to last note kind of guy, this year some other commitments put me into the “better late than never,” category. But, as I found out, in the case of RockyGrass, any time is a good time. From the opening notes of I’m With Her to the Bluegrass not Bluegrass of Punch Brothers, my time in front of the main stage was a joy. I got to witness the smiling faces around me, the rush of the St. Vrain, and the sights and smells of the vendor area. The workshops inside the Wildflower Pavilion created an intimacy with the crowd, while the many shades of ‘grass on the bill echoed through the canyon and brought out the dancing spirit in us all. Thanks for the lovely times, see everyone next year.
