See-I Announce Fall Tour And Remix EP

Estimated read time 2 min read

In June of this year See-I released their critically acclaimed self-titled album.  The 13 tracks blended  roots and dancehall music with funk, dub, and rock to create a unique brand of reggae.  The high energy, full sound, and musical and lyrical talent captured on this recording made it one of this writers top 10 albums of 2011.  Shortly after the album’s release, the summer saw See-I vocalists Arthur “Rootz” Steele and Archie “Zeebo” Steele, guitarist Rob Meyers, bassist  Ashish “Hash” Vyas, and saxophonist Frank Mitchell take to the road as members of the Thievery Corporation Live Band.  Thievery Corporation played to huge crowds across these united states at festivals like Wakarusa, and between the rocks at Red Rocks. At the same time other See-I members, percussionist Javier Miranda , and drummer Jeff Franca toured with Empresarios another group from the Fort Knox Recordings that delighted crowds with Latin tempos, afrobeats, and funk.

With the summer tours ending, the members of See-I are back together and preparing to head out on a fall tour.  Denver don’t miss this original roots, rock reggae from the nation’s capital as See-I plays Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday November 11th.  Take a listen to the track “Homegrown” (2011 Version) .  After hearing this track I am sure you will want to grab their self titled album out now on iTunes, and to join me in waiting anxiously for the See-I Remixed EP, out on November 2nd on Fort Knox Recordings.
