The Boulder Theater
Saturday, March 3rd
Tickets: $30 – $50
On-Sale: 12/19 @ 10am
Famed indie singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco performs a very special solo show – just her and her instruments – at the Boulder Theater on Saturday, March 3. Tickets go on sale this Monday, December 19, at 10:00am MST at www.bouldertheater.com.
After 20 years in the music biz, self-described “Little Folksinger” Ani DiFranco’s frame is still technically “little,” although her influence on fellow musicians, activists, and indie-minded people the world over is huge. And while she still proudly identifies as a folksinger, too, her understanding of that term has always been far more expansive than a bin at the record store or a category on iTunes- with ample room for soul, funk, jazz, electronic music, spoken word, and a marching band or two. Over the course of more than 20 albums, including her critically acclaimed live double CD Living in Clip (1997) , her two-disc career retrospective Canon (2007), and her forthcoming 2012 release ¿Which Side are You On? (to be released in January 2012), Ani has never stopped evolving, experimenting, and testing the limits of what can be said and sung.
