The Smashing Pumpkins – October 16th – 1stBank Center
The current incarnation of Billy Corgan’s Smashing Pumpkins took the stage last week in a shrunken 1stBank Center looking very much like they did back in their heyday. Despite the band being made up of new supporting cast behind Corgan, there is still a sexy female bass player and a guitarist with Asian features. While at first the similarities to the classic line-up seemed a bit cheesy, their playing pushed all those thoughts from our minds immediately as the band delivered a very solid show of new and old material.
