Railroad Earth – March 26th – Fillmore Auditorium

From the mountains to the plains, Railroad Earth shows have become a Colorado ritual. Railroad returned to the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver for two unique shows this past Friday and Saturday evenings. With Saturday’s performance, the band brought the flames with one of their liveliest and most dynamic shows to date. The crowd was colorful and happy as usual. Young and old, fathers and sons, best friends and diehards filtered into an unusually quiet and roomy Fillmore space.

Railroad Earth – January 22nd – Ogden Theatre

It was one heck of a weekend with the guys of Railroad Earth, who were in town for their annual January run in Denver. Three jam-packed shows of Railroad Earth’s incandescent music made for yet another one of the greatest weekends in the Denver live music circuit. If anyone knows how to throw a great show, it is those six strapping lads of Railroad Earth – top-notch guys, unparalleled musicians, and some dang impressive entertainers.

For the third year in a row, New Jersey’s Railroad Earth graced the stage for what is the highlight of the summer music season at the Boulder Theater. A long-awaited show, the tone for the evening had been set long before our arrival, and the anticipation of something incredible was heavy in the air. In a theater now almost too small for the band’s ever-expanding repertoire, the boys of Railroad Earth were free to do a little experimentation on this magical evening in Boulder.

Railroad Earth is one of America’s greatest bands playing today, plain and simple. They sing of our nation’s changing landscape and social ills with a commitment reminiscent of Woody Guthrie, while interpolating instrumental timbres that could have been pulled from Celtic or Cajun culture.
