Together with the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Listen Up Denver! and Park House are hosting a “Battle of the Bands” event on August 9th that will benefit Firefly Autism and Autism Speaks and give some of the best bands in the Rocky Mountain region the opportunity to perform alongside some of the biggest musical names in the country at the 21st annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival in September.

The 2014 edition of the Denver Day of Rock boasted one of it’s best line-ups to date and despite the threat of rain lingering for much of the afternoon the heavens didn’t open up until almost exactly when the festival was wrapping up. Throughout the day stand-out performances were the norm, but the Blues of Austin Young Band, the barroom Rock of The Hold Steady, and the vintage Funk and Soul of Monophonics really stole the show.
