The Avett Brothers – July 7th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

The Avett Brothers kicked off their annual three-day weekend at Red Rocks last Friday. They have always brought quality opening acts with them to Red Rocks, and this year was no different as Dr. John kicked-off the weekend. What a treat to see an iconic legend at such an iconic venue, it was a perfect match. But not to be outdone, The Avett Brothers brought their commanding stage presence and energy to the stage, and even to the seats as they jumped the rail and ran into the audience to really touched their fans one-on-one.

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls – January 25th – Fillmore Auditorium

Twenty and thirtysomethings, most dressed in what could be described as mix of “punk casual,” mingled around the Fillmore as Frank Turner sang “Can’t I just spend the next four years at a punk show. Can’t I just spend the next four years getting wasted?” as he opened a cathartic evening of Folk-Punk. This new track, entitled “The Sand In The Gears,” is a call-to-arms in response to the election and subsequent shit-show of Donald Trump.
