  • Strange Americans have created a smoldering sound that is a well thought out blend of Alt-Country, Indie Rock, and Americana, by cherry picking some of the best elements of acclaimed acts like Ryan Adams, My Morning Jacket, and The Band, to influence their songwriting.   • On Monday night at The Fox, LA band Dawes played one of the most impressive rock shows I have witnessed in years.  No, they didn't have the production value of Roger Waters' "The Wall" performance or the raw, testosterone fueled, energy of a Rage Against The Machine show, but what they did have was a staggering amount of musical talent.  It was simply overflowing from these four men as they put on a clinic on how to be the best band you can be.

They have released their stellar sophomore album Nothing Is Wrong, toured with Allison Krauss, and performed as the backing band for legends Robbie Robertson and Jackson Browne.
