Bassnectar – May 31st – Red Rocks Amphitheater

After night one of bass filled glory Friday the crowds arrived at Red Rocks on Saturday in droves. Bassnectar’s fan base, affectionately known as Bass Heads, has grown exponentially throughout the past 5 years to the point that fans from all over the country are now coming from miles around to see, hear and feel the distinct experience that is a Bassnectar show. Giddy hippies, groove cats and bass freaks shuffled their way through the doors early to man their bass battle stations up and down the steps in Morrison.

Analog Son is a VERY Funky band created by Jordan Linit (Kinetix/Ableminds) and Josh Fairman (Kinetix) in 2013 around a studio project involving the Shady Horns, Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom (Lettuce/Soulive), Joe Tatton (New Mastersounds), Adam Deitch (Lettuce/Break Science), Mike Marlier, Joey Porter (Motet/Juno What?!), and Joel Scanlon. Analog Son will be supported by Tiger Party, Atomga, and Steepwater Band making this a must see show!

Pretty Lights – December 5th – Ogden Theatre

On a frigid night on the Front Range, a select group of lucky ticket holders filled The Ogden to see the Pretty Lights live band. This was the smallest venue that has housed Smith’s Electro-Soul in Colorado in years, and the ticket scalpers prices shot through the roof knowing that Smith’s loyal contingent of fans would pay just about anything to see him again in such an intimate setting. As frost began to creep it’s way onto the inside of the Ogden’s glass doors at the entrance, Smith and his band took the stage for the hometown crowd.

Lotus – October 4th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Despite the frigid temperatures last Friday night, Lotus, BoomBox and Break Science were back in town. This time there was no turning back following the September 13th performance that was postponed due to flooding and road damage that made travel to the venue nearly impossible. Once Lotus took the stage for their third consecutive headlining performance at the storied venue and the first funky guitar notes of “Wax” rang out of Mike Rempel’s fingers everyone knew it was going to be a special show.

Gramatik Talks Nikola Telsa, Music Piracy, and Amendment 64

Gramatik is headlining his first show at The Fillmore this Saturday night. With opening acts Talib Kweli and Mux Mool, it’s sure to be a night that lives up to Gramatik’s personal ability to move from one musical genre to the next. His new light design, inspired by infamous physicist Nikola Tesla is sure to be a highlight of this blowout. Snowball Music Festival – March 2, 3, 4 – Avon, CO

The 2nd Annual Snowball Music Festival took over Avon, Colorado this past weekend and the experience was no less than stellar despite cold temperatures and snow. The folks at Snowball put on an amazing three days of music full of crazy banana suits, tons of 80’s ski gear, and plenty of snow filled good times. Artists like Pretty Lights, Snoop Dogg, Kinetix, TV on the Radio, The Kooks, and Rusko rocked the snowy park all weekend and providing lifelong memories as they ignited the Colorado high country.
