Joe Pug & The Lumineers – May 12th – The Bluebird Theatre

Estimated read time 6 min read

When all was said and done, The Lumineers, Joe Pug, and Bailiff turned in a fantastic night of music at The Bluebird last Saturday. From early in the night, The Bluebird was packed with a wide variety of music fans. There were grey hairs who looked a little overwhelmed at the size, and density, of the crowd, hipsters doing their best to look as cool as possible, industry folks, a few hippies blowing smoke at the ceiling, and a healthy number of late 20 and 30 something couples out for a musical date night. It’s safe to say that everyone went home happy.

CAKE – June 13th – The Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 6 min read

CAKE brought a very well thought-out rock show to The Ogden for the first night of a two night stand yesterday. They played several of their best loved songs, gave us a healthy dose of Vibra-Slap, and even ran a game show to give away a tree. They went the distance over the course of two sets and even though the pacing wasn’t perfect, it carried their trademark quirk and was highly entertaining.
