New Orleans Suspects – March 14th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

Estimated read time 3 min read

While Cervantes’ Ballroom wasn’t packed Last Friday night, it was nice that there was room to dance, chat with friends between songs, and not have to swim through a sea of humanity just to make it to the bar. The 20 somethings had packed The Other Side for Twiddle so it was a bit of an older crowd who danced the night away to Americana courtesy of a retooled Great American Taxi and some New Orleans Funk from New Orleans Suspects.

Fruition – April 13th – Cervantes’ Other Side

Estimated read time 4 min read

Being around at the beginning, before a band makes it big, is a desire shared by all music lovers and Colorado is no stranger to this phenomena. We’ve always been big believers that if you can make a name for yourself in Colorado then you can make it almost anywhere. With Fruition, we won’t know for sure until maybe a year from now, but last week they made a real case for themselves at Cervantes’ when they brought their West Coast Folk-Rock String Band sound to the Front Range for a three night stand.

Future Simple Project & Love and Light – December 13th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

Estimated read time 4 min read

It seems that Cervantes’ is the Mecca of the Denver EDM scene and while Cervantes’ doesn’t typically offer up a ton in terms of the visuals and stage set-up, last Thursday night was different when Future Simple Project and Love and Light too the stage. Following the recent trend of 3D projection mapped stages, Family Moons (the Promoter) offered up a spectacle of fractal images onto the broad stark white stage that mesmerized the fans as they danced.
