Daniele Ate the Sandwich began charming the socks off The Front Range over four years ago, and her new album shows us a more mature, yet just as adorable side of the Ukulele-wielding Folk singer. Like A King is Danielle Anderson’s fourth full length album, and the well-produced and detailed sound reflects how far this young artist with an old soul has come. Listen Up Denver! had the chance to catch up with Colorado native Anderson, and she shared some introspective thoughts with us.

The Walnut Room was not only filled with eclectic music last Saturday night, but also with the sounds of laughter. Danielle Ate The Sandwich is known for her witty lyrics, but she proved to be a hell of a comedian between songs. Danielle is more than just a musician and her stage presence and intelligent banter were just as powerful as her music.

The 21st annual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival was another smashing success as it sold-out in advance for the second year in a row thanks to yet another outstanding line-up put together by the good people over at Planet Bluegrass. With stellar performances from Dan Mangan, Mary Gauthier, Josh Ritter, Bob Weir, Chris Robinson, & Jackie Greene and more, it was truly a wonderful weekend in Lyons.
