“Denver’s Free Music Scene” – From Neighborhood Bars to the Levitt Pavilion

Both can change a bad mood and make it happy or excited; both can change a light mood and make it more introspective and profound. Beer and music are often at the heart of groups of people and the communities they are part of. They say the only thing better than good beer, is free beer. Doomtree – January 22nd – Summit Music Hall

Doomtree stopped in Denver on Sunday night as part of their “No Kings” tour, and smiling faces, words of gratitude, and flashing cameras filled the Summit Music Hall. Throughout the evening each of the 5 emcees showcased a collection of fan favorites blended effortlessly with material from the collective’s new album. To make things even better, the group announced a series of Colorado dates in late March before they left stage for good!

2011 was a big year for the Midwest hip-hop collective Doomtree. The year included a new record called “No Kings” and several critically acclaimed solo projects.
