Telluride lived up to the hype!!! There were howls at the “super moon,” tarp runs, tributes to one of our favorites, Levon Helm, new friends, and old friends. From The Mayor of Telluride, Mr. Sam Bush, to up-and-comers, Lake Street Dive, the music was top notch from morning till night. Was it all about the banjo? No. Was it all about music? No. Telluride Bluegrass is an experience and the best word to describe it is “legendary.”
Nederland Colorado based neo-acoustic quintet Elephant Revival will be in Denver this Friday playing their unique version of an emerging musical genre called Transcendental Folk at The Ogden Theatre. As they prepped for the show, Daniel Rodriguez (Guitar, Banjo, Vocals) took a few minutes to sit down with Listen Up Denver! to talk about the upcoming show, the upcoming summer, and of course, spirit animals.
In the picturesque setting of The Gold Hill Inn, Elephant Revival proved with their unique “Transcendental Folk” music that it is possible to transcend the plastic bullshit that controls so many of our lives today and get lost in the power of music.
