Aqueous – December 7th – Old Town Pub, Steamboat Springs, CO

Last Friday night, the burgeoning young band Aqueous tore into Steamboat and delivered a scorching show in the intimate confines of The Old Town Pub. With a show that featured extended jam sequences that took us deep into the prog-funk dimensions that are home to this band, alongside crowd-pleasing covers of David Bowie’s “Fame” and Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell,” and teases of Dr. Dre, Rage Against The Machine, and Phish, the four-piece whipped the room into a frenzy as they played well past one AM.

Dance Party Time Machine – December 11th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

This past Friday night brought Denver unusually warm weather and a variety of choices for the Denver live music faithful to get down. Down at Cervantes’, J2G Live was ready to deliver their third installment of the Dance Party Time Machine, a collaborative effort of Denver’s finest musicians who come together to throwdown a mixtape of hits from throughout the decades of dance music. After trips through the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more, the time machine landed safely in 2015 to end the evening.

Alt-J – April 23rd – The Bluebird Theatre

Alt-J roared into The Bluebird Theater last Tuesday for their first performance in the Mile High City. Fresh off two solid sets at Coachella, Alt –J decided to close out their first U.S tour in Denver. Everyone in the building seemed to have a different favorite track they were dying to hear. Throughout the night a sold-out crowd was treated to An Awesome Wave and several breathtaking covers that left the room stunned and extremely appreciative of this British quartet’s incredible talent.

Lotus – September 8th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

It’s been over a year since Lotus stole the show on a bill with The Glitch Mob at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This time they returned in full force as the headliner at one of the last and most anticipated shows of the legendary venue’s summer concert series.
