  • Fifteen albums and almost twenty years have passed since G. Love & Special Sauce was the house band at The Plough and Stars in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Garrett Dutton (aka G. Love) and his band's enthusiasm for playing music and constant touring have steadily built a large and well deserved fan base across the country.  You can catch their brand of Hip-Hop Blues this Saturday March 10th at The Ogden Theatre, or later this month on March 22nd at the Bud Light Street Beat in Vail.

  • The trio known as Lance Herbstrong have just returned from  playing Mayan Holidaze in Mexico where they shared the stage with The Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's McGee, and STS9.   Back from beach blanket bingo,  they just dropped their second album, and have already begun work on their third.   • The anticipation for the summer festival season couldn't be any higher than during these long winter months. Thankfully we don't have to wait for summer to experience a bit of the Festival life as the Waka Winter Classic brings the festival experience to Colorado this week.   At two different stops, Cervantes' Other Side and  Hodi's Half Note, bands will compete for the chance to perform at Wakarusa 2012. Listen Up Denver! caught up with Aaron Stehman of Pipeline Productions to talk about Wakarusa and the idea behind the Waka Winter Classic.

  • Signal Path closed out their four-part seasonal EP project this winter with their latest release Some Take Flight. Since the hometown trio of Ryan Burnett, Damon Metzner, and Matt Schumacher released the EP right before the holiday,we wanted  to get this review out there to make sure that no one missed this final installment in the band's 2011 "quadrILLogy." This three song EP builds on the sound of the the earlier installments and it continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.

  • A near capacity crowd of avid bluegrass fans gathered at Mishawaka Amphitheatre Saturday evening to greet Fort Collins own, Head For The Hills.  With a performance that featured lots of originals and some truly fun covers, the local boys shined on the home court.  With The Grant Farm opening the evening, the two bands combined for a spectacular evening of bluegrass deep in the Poudre Canyon.

Other than the natural beauty, the festival offered light and art installations, aerialists, fire dancers, hula-hoopers, art galleries, and the overpowering, pulsating lights that blasted the crowd from the Main Stage.
