STS9 & Nas – September 6th – Red Rocks

For the 10th year in a row Sound Tribe Sector 9 invaded Red Rocks Amphitheater with two nights of mayhem and an amazing crew of special guests. While a tremendous number of people on-hand to witness Rap heavyweight Nas perform his powerful set, STS9 delivered a historic show that the crowd jazzed from the start and reinvigorated many fans love for the band and the sound they pioneered more than a decade ago.

Eskmo – February 16th – Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom

Last Saturday night featured a stacked line-up of EDM revolutionaries at Cervantes’ Masterpiece. From 10pm to 2am the Ballroom was filled with progressive and futuristic bass music. The unique West Coast grooves of Eskmo, Andreilien, and Russ Liquid got the crowd out early and kept them there late as all three artists proved they are worthy of attention as they are now, and will be continue to be, pushing the boundaries of the EDM scene in Colorado and beyond.

Sonic Bloom – June 21st-24th – Georgetown, CO

Back at the end of June, Shadow’s Ranch up in Georgetown was overtaken by 3,000 electronic music lovers, and yes, we do mean lovers. With a common theme of love and compassion running through the weekend, this year’s Sonic Bloom Festival featured some of the biggest names in the genre. Everyone responsible for making this festival happen are building a family based on the simplest of ideas that we all to often forget: have compassion for one another. It was truly a special experience.

Eskmo & Vibesquad – March 10th – Summit Music Hall

Phutureprimitive, Eskmo, and VibesquaD brought a wide variety of different kinds of electronic music to Summit Music Hall last Saturday. They event, produced by Euphonic Concepts, was much more than just a simple concert. With vendors strewn about the venue and visual artists lining the dance floor, there was always something to keep your mind occupied between the sets of music. Overall, the night was one to be remembered, as well as one to kick yourself for missing out on.

Bassnectar & Beats Antique – June 18th – Red Rocks

While Bassnectar’s Saturday show at Red Rocks wasn’t necessarily “life changing” it was very inspirational and was surely one of the most massive spectacles to ever take place at Red Rocks. Bassnectar is a an unstoppable force overflowing with creative genius and he raised the bar ten-fold for any electronic act that plays between the rocks in the future.
