Ott & The All Seeing I – December 21st – Cervantes’ Ballroom

All the usual suspects came out early and stayed late for the dual-sided Mystic Mayhem Masquerade Ball at Cervantes’ last Saturday. The venue was comfortably full at an early hour, undoubtedly due to fervor for Denver-based live EDM band Octopus Nebula, who paved the way for the highly anticipated Ott & The All Seeing I. On The Other Side were Project Aspect and Future Simple Project. Both sides had a lot of good energy circulating around, along with plenty glow sticks, hula hoops and other various light-up toys. It was indeed a veritable circus.

Sonic Bloom – June 13th-17th – Shadow’s Ranch – Another Man’s Take

Despite some minor snafus getting in the gates of the festival, Sonic Bloom did a wonderful job of providing all types of different activities to take part in to keep the patrons enlivened and engaged. From sunrise DJ sets, to mindbending acrobatic troupes and from early morning Yoga to interactive art installations there was something for everyone at this “transformational festival” that took place on a beautiful ranch just outside Georgetown.

Future Simple Project & Love and Light – December 13th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

It seems that Cervantes’ is the Mecca of the Denver EDM scene and while Cervantes’ doesn’t typically offer up a ton in terms of the visuals and stage set-up, last Thursday night was different when Future Simple Project and Love and Light too the stage. Following the recent trend of 3D projection mapped stages, Family Moons (the Promoter) offered up a spectacle of fractal images onto the broad stark white stage that mesmerized the fans as they danced.
