Girl Walk // All Day – December 22nd – Denver Film Center on Colfax

When I sat down to take in the Denver Premier of the new film “Girl Walk // All Day” last week, I heard something I had never heard in a movie theatre before: “Please feel free to get up and dance at any time during the film.” Well, I have to admit, I only made it twenty minutes in before I was dancing in the aisles and the open spaces of the theater, and more than half of the film goers joined me. What started as a film screening at ten, ended as a dance party at almost two in the morning.

For “Girl Walk // All Day” Director Jacob Krupnick, this year started off with the pursuit of an idea. Krupnick had been wanting to work with dancer Anne Marsen in creating a music video of “epic proportions” set to the Girl Talk album, “All Day.” A year later, the 71 minute film is finished and will be making it’s Colorado premiere on the 22nd.
