Hank 3 – October 6th – Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

Monday night must have been a quiet one for most of Colfax. With the glow of the street’s steadfast and proven neon signs failing to deliver the usual patrons it must have felt eerily quiet. Normally coveted bar stools were sitting unused and the long lines at the liquor stores and dispensaries were a lot shorter. I know all this to be true because Hank 3 filled the Ogden Theatre with the types of people that frequent Colfax, a place that Playboy Magazine once called “the longest, wickedest street in America.”

Hank 3 – September 4th – The Boulder Theater

Estimated read time 3 min read

Last Tuesday was the twentieth show and final on Hank 3’s West Coast Tour. Since Hank hadn’t been to Boulder in a while, this was a long awaited tour by fans and the band alike. Hank 3’s DIY work ethic allows him the freedom to explore Country, Doom Rock, Speed Metal, Punk, and even a little cattle callin’ and he put it all on display for the adoring fans. Hank 3 and the boys are doing what they want to and encouraging others to do the same and that’s what keeps the fans coming back.

Reverend Horton Heat Talks Laughing, Crying, & California Gurls

Denver was the final stop on a Colorado leg of the Laughing and Crying Tour and Jim Heath, the Rev himself, took a few minutes on Thursday before taking the stage at The Fox Theatre in Boulder to talk to Listen Up Denver! about the new album, touring, and “California Gurls.”
