Over the last 17 years, the Michael Hornbuckle Band has played a number of esteemed venues and opened for artists like The Allman Brothers, Ted Nugent, and Def Leppard. Their most recent CD, ‘Virtue and Vice,’ earned the title “Best Self-Produced CD” from the Mile High Blues Society!

Currently named the #1 guitar player on Gibson’s Top Ten Modern Blues Guitarist list, Joe Bonamassa paid tribute to the Blues former top players, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, in this exclusive concert experience. Make no mistake, this show was like no other Joe has ever put on before in many ways. The band was an all-star lineup, not his regular touring band and the sold-out show was the biggest of Bonamassa’s career, as he told the audience in praise and admiration of helping him reach the milestone.

Guitar Hero Joe Bonamassa is set to perform an exclusive event concert experience at Red Rocks Amphitheater celebrating the music of blues legends Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. For every ticket purchased, $5 will be donated to Keeping the Blues Alive which Bonamassa founded to promote the heritage of the blues to the next generation, fund music scholarships, and supplement the loss of music education programs in public schools. Taj Mahal & John Hiatt – August 11th – Denver Botanic Gardens

What a night at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The weather was picture perfect and the late afternoon sun was shining on the Chihuly glass exhibit that inhabits the gardens through November. Fans of Taj Mahal and John Hiatt sipped wine as they strolled the paths, chatted with friends and took in the stunning glass that is expertly woven into the natural surroundings before being dazzled by the music that came from the stage under Chihuly’s bright orange sun.

Northwest Denver Folk Festival – April 21st – The Oriental Theater

The Oriental Theatre was home to the inaugural Northwest Denver Folk Festival this past Saturday. The spacious theater was divided to three “stages” thanks to some creative planning. There was a band in the lobby, a band on the main stage, and a band at the back of the seating area across from the stage. The crowd was every bit as diverse as the acts they came to see. There were elderly folks seated at tables, little kids running around, and the flannel clad folks you’d expect to see.
