PICK OF THE WEEK: Analog Son – The Bluebird Theater – Saturday, March 7th

What can only be described as a super group of extraordinary proportions, Analog Son will be performing together at the Bluebird Theater this March 7th to celebrate the release of their sophomore album “Stomp And Shout.” The show will feature Nigel Hall (Lettuce, Soulive, Nth Power) and Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident, EOTO) along with a number of featured performers known both locally and nationally.

Band of Heathens – March 16th – Cervantes’ Ballroom

A crowd of Transplated Bostonians and Austinites came out to support their hometown bands on Friday night at Cervantes’ when Band of Heathens and Ryan Montbleau Band came through town. Though the fans started the night off a little stiff, the Funk, Blue-Eyed Soul, and Country swagger that these two bands laid down was enough to get folks moving eventually. Band of Heathens even saw fit to nod to Cervantes’ history as a Jamband club and encored with a mini-set of Grateful Dead tunes.

PICK OF THE WEEK: Soulive’s “Snowlive” – February 17th-19th – The Fox Theatre

Soulive will be hosting their own mini-festival, dubbed Snowlive, this weekend at The Fox Theatre. The first two nights will feature special guests JJ Grey and Jennifer Hartswick, while the third night will be an evening of “Rubber Soulive” named after the band’s album of the same name paying tribute to The Beatles.
