The Wheels of Soul: Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers, Hot Tuna – July 30th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

The Wheels of Soul rolled into Red Rocks last weekend and featured two nights of Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers, and Hot Tuna. Despite some rain early on Sunday, the fans got a healthy helping of Roots, Soul, Rock and Blues that featured more collaborations and covers than anyone could have anticipated. It was a memorable night on The Rocks and one that will likely go down in the lore of the storied venue.

Kinfolk Celebration – September 19 & 20, 2014 – Planet Bluegrass

This summer, Kauffman, Aijala and Johnston have joined forces with nearly everyone, and this year’s Kinfolk Celebration only solidified this notion, bringing in the fall season with a BANG. Marking the 1-year anniversary of the devastating flooding that took place in the Front Range last September, this year’s Kinfolk brought us hours of original tunes, impressive renditions and one-of-a-kind collaborations, and proved that our local community is stronger than ever.

Widespread Panic – June 27th – Red Rocks Amphitheater

The last weekend of June has become synonymous with Widespread Panic here in Colorado and this year was no different as the band and their legions of fans descended on Morrison’s hollowed Red Rocks for three nights with the reigning titans of Southern Jam Rock. Despite some early rain that threatened to dampen spirits, let there be no mistake, the boys came out of the gates RAGING on Friday night and left everyone’s expectations high for the rest of the weekend.

Widespread Panic – Wood

In the midst of their hiatus, Widespread Panic dropped a two disc live album that pulls together material from their four city tour that took place earlier this year…and it’s a real change of pace for the kings of Southern Jam Rock. In the place of thunderous Bass bombs, scorching lead Guitar riffs, and volume knobs turned to eleven, ‘Wood’ showcases their softer side as it chronicles the group’s first ever fully acoustic tour in all it’s glory.
