Dead and Company – July 5th – Folsom Field

Estimated read time 5 min read

When Bob Weir and the crew rolled in Boulder on Thursday afternoon, it was a scorcher. Folks walking Shakedown were mopping sweat from their brows as they perused booth after booth of stickers, bootleg shirts, heady veggie burrittos, and my personal favorite Philafel with Hummus. While it wasn’t quite as extensive as the Shakedown at Phish Dick’s, it was quite a scene and warmed us all up nicely (pun intended) for the evening.

Disco Biscuits – April 18th – Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 8 min read

After what can only be described as an epic night on The Rocks, The Disco Biscuits headed back to The Ogden for their 4th and final performance of the weekend. After such an amazing night on the rocks, both the crowd and band were anxious to close things out with a bang and The Biscuits did not disappoint. “Denver is on FIRE right now” were the words Marc Brownstein touted before getting things going and it seems the band was dedicated to keeping that fire burning for at least one more night.

Disco Biscuits – April 16th – Ogden Theatre

Estimated read time 4 min read

After a show of bust outs and rarities, night two at The Ogden found a lot of people focused on what was happening outside of the theater. With Denver’s unpredictable springtime weather delivering a nasty mix of sleet, snow, and rain, many were more worried about Friday’s Red Rocks show with Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann of The Grateful Dead being cancelled, moved, or unbearable to attend. Thankfully the band quickly put an end to any outside thoughts, opening the show with the beautiful “Once The Fiddler Paid.”

Spring is always an amazing time to be in Colorado.
