This year’s event marks the brewery’s 32nd anniversary since its humble beginnings in the mountain town for which it’s named. With two days of fun featuring national and local bands, the festival goes from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, rain or shine.

A New Jersey native with longstanding ties to the Jam scene, Todd Sheaffer made a name for himself as the front man for From Good Homes before founding Railroad Earth with Tim Carbone, John Skehan, Carey Harmon, and Andy Goessling in 2001. The band burst onto the scene immediately with a performance at Telluride Bluegrass the same year and hasn’t slowed down since.

Railroad returned to the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver for two unique shows this past Friday and Saturday evenings. With Saturday’s performance, the band brought the flames with one of their liveliest and most dynamic shows to date. The crowd was colorful and happy as usual. Young and old, fathers and sons, best friends and diehards filtered into an unusually quiet and roomy Fillmore space.

Railroad Earth – September 18th – Red Rocks

There’s magic in the air when Railroad Earth comes to town. Last September the band produced a sweeping live film of their performance at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Needless to say it was a monumental show and this year would be hard pressed to surpass the energy and set list from the show that made fans swoon. Anytime you get to hear Railroad Earth play two sets it’s a special experience for the band and attendees but the 2014 Red Rocks set a standard that is difficult to match.
