The National – September 17th – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

After months of hype and anticipation, a warm, clear night fell on fans in their twenties all the way to their forties who filled Red Rocks to over three quarters full as The National rang in Fall with one of the last Red Rocks shows of the year. They were joined by two opening bands worthy of fanfare themselves, Frightened Rabbit and Local Natives, whose outstanding sets set the stage for a magical evening with the dark giants of indie-rock.
