Now shrink that idea into a seven-piece ensemble, add a hip hop sensibility plus a hundred years of New Orleans jazz tradition, and you get the Louisiana sound known as The Soul Rebels. Along with Denver’s own Strange Americans, The Soul Rebels will help celebrate Marquee Magazine’s 10 Year Anniversary Party at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, Colorado!

Rock The Earth Benefit Featuring Railroad Earth – December 30th – The Ogden Theatre

While Railroad Earth spent most of last weekend on the stage of The Ogden, Friday afternoon they moved down and set up on the second riser of the theater under a set of purple lights. With only a few microphones at their disposal, the band delivered a stellar 40 minute set that showcased some amazingly precise playing. It was truly a treat to see these guys serve up an acoustic show in such intimate confines.
