Estimated read time 3 min read

On Tuesday night Ryan Bingham brought his Country flavored Rock-n-Roll show to a sold-out Ogden Theatre and boy did he delight the crowd that snapped up tickets almost as soon as they went on-sale. The room was packed with everyone from long haired hippies, to hipsters, to cowboy hat and boot wearing ranch hands who made the haul into Denver for a night on the town with one of their favorite songwriters.

Estimated read time 3 min read

Cowboy hats and boots dotted Colfax as Ryan Bingham fans lined up outside the Ogden Theatre on a frigid Friday night to shake off their Thanksgiving gluttony with the second of two Denver shows on the songwriter’s “Fear and Saturday Night” tour. Word on the sidewalk was that the Wednesday set was smoking from start to finish so expectations were high among many and the whiskey drinks began flowing early to get everyone warmed up.

Estimated read time 2 min read

Ryan Bingham knows a thing or two about pain. He learned the emotional aspect early in life, when shuttling between small towns and family members in the hardscrabble ranching communities of West Texas and New Mexico — and became well-acquainted with the physical facets during his years on the Southwestern rodeo circuit.

Garth Brooks – March 24th – Pepsi Center

Estimated read time 7 min read

On Tuesday night the Pepsi Center was a sea of denim, cowboy hats, belt buckles and short shorts. To say the atmosphere in the arena was electric as showtime approached would be doing a disservice to the thousands of buzzing fans who could barely sit still as they snapped selfies with the giant “G” that sat center stage on a huge digital cube. When it was all over Brooks had proven that he deserves the accolades that are showered upon him. He’s truly one of the greatest performers out there today.

20 Questions with Ignatius Reilly

Estimated read time 4 min read

The best music is made collaboratively. Though new talent pops up regularly, it seems like bands that make the quickest movement to the spotlight are the Frankenstein bands–we all know them. Some are more regular than others. Certainly, every once in a while a musician happens upon another musician, and together they make something that is a graduated version of what they each made alone. When four experienced, talented and well-seasoned musicians come together in this way, you end up with a band like Ignatius Reilly.

Ryan Bingham – May 24th – Chautauqua Auditorium

Estimated read time 3 min read

Picnicers dotted the park surrounding the historic Chautauqua Auditorium last Friday night before Americana rocker Ryan Bingham brought a surprisingly rowdy show to the historic barn of a venue. It felt like one of the first true nights of summer with a huge orange moon peeking through the trees and a perfect temperature for jeans and a t-shirt. The intense, foot stomping show was the perfect Friday concert to let loose at. The venue may not have suited his style, but nobody seemed to mind one bit.
