Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa – April 23rd – Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Blunts and beats dominated Red Rocks last Sunday as fans rounded out their 420 weekend with a final session hosted by Snoop Dogg and and his wild crew. Snoop is currently criss-crossing the country on the Mount Kushmore Wellness Retreat tour as he prepares to drop his 15th solo album, ‘Neva Left,’ and this stop on the tour featured Snoop performing an intertwined set with Wiz Khalifa and Hip-Hop legends Cypress Hill in the support slot.

Dave Matthews Band – August 23rd – Dick’s Sporting Goods Park

Contrast is the spice of life, and there aren’t many artists with more contrast than Snoop Dogg and Dave Matthews Band. In what proved to be a spicy ticket, Snoop opened for Matthews at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park this past Friday and Saturday. Dave Matthews Band hadn’t performed in Colorado in more than three years, and while the artist didn’t allude to reason why, a throng of fans welcomed them back with open arms. We were on hand to cover the event on Friday and bring you these photos to enjoy!

The Soul Rebels have built a career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in the party-like atmosphere of a dance club. Their weekly show at Uptown New Orleans spot Le Bon Temps Roulé has been known to descend into a sweaty shout-along as the band mixes up songs from its five studio albums with hits by Jay-Z and OutKast. Snoop Dogg & Ice Cube – August 24th – Comfort Dental Amphitheatre

Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube had all of Comfort Dental Amphitheatre dancing their butts off on Friday night with a little help from supporting acts Bone Thugs NHarmony, E-40, and Tha Dogg Pound. All-in-all Snoop and Cube set out to do a couple things. First was to turn people on to their music and second was to try to turn Comfort Dental Amphitheatre into the biggest party in Denver over the weekend. Mission accomplished!

Snowball Music Festival – March 2, 3, 4 – Avon, CO

The 2nd Annual Snowball Music Festival took over Avon, Colorado this past weekend and the experience was no less than stellar despite cold temperatures and snow. The folks at Snowball put on an amazing three days of music full of crazy banana suits, tons of 80’s ski gear, and plenty of snow filled good times. Artists like Pretty Lights, Snoop Dogg, Kinetix, TV on the Radio, The Kooks, and Rusko rocked the snowy park all weekend and providing lifelong memories as they ignited the Colorado high country.

The Deadmeat Tour: Featuring Steve Aoki & Datsik – January 26th – The Fillmore Auditorium

A modest, and rather young, crowd gathered at The Fillmore on Thursday evening for the return of several powerhouse electronic artists; Steve Aoki, Datsik and up and comer Alvin Risk. Steve Aoki has been traversing the globe, throwing legendary parties for the last decade. Dating back to his wild days with The Bloody Beetroots, he’s been known to do awesome yet absurd things on stage and this show was no exception.

The Bluebird felt like New Orleans for two nights last week. The mood was complete with balmy air, beer soaked floors and patrons, sweaty dancers, and blaring horns…all thanks to Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews and Orleans Avenue. Denver has always had an affinity for the music of New Orleans, but Trombone Shorty might well be adopted as this town’s new favorite.
