Mike Doughty – October 29th – Twist & Shout

Estimated read time 2 min read

There have been many in-stores at Twist & Shout over the years. Some, like Trey Anastasio and String Cheese Incident, were more or less ticketed affairs that saw lines stretch around the block and scalpers get top-dollar for wristbands. Others, like Tuesday’s intimate acoustic set with Mike Doughty, are much more mellow, laid back events. Joe Pug & The Lumineers – May 12th – The Bluebird Theatre

Estimated read time 6 min read

When all was said and done, The Lumineers, Joe Pug, and Bailiff turned in a fantastic night of music at The Bluebird last Saturday. From early in the night, The Bluebird was packed with a wide variety of music fans. There were grey hairs who looked a little overwhelmed at the size, and density, of the crowd, hipsters doing their best to look as cool as possible, industry folks, a few hippies blowing smoke at the ceiling, and a healthy number of late 20 and 30 something couples out for a musical date night. It’s safe to say that everyone went home happy.
