Estimated read time 6 min read

Three shows over the course of three nights is not an uncommon thing for Phish – but to do it in a tropical paradise, right on the beach, in a customized venue . . . well that’s special! It’s been a long time since phans had an international destination to travel to for a run of shows (June 2000 in Japan to be exact), and Trey, Mike, Page and Fish made it well worth everyone’s time over the course of these three magical nights in Mexico.

Estimated read time 2 min read

Turkuaz is a 9-piece power funk army hailing from Brooklyn, NY whose modern twist on the classic sound has placed them at the forefront of a new funk evolution. Groove Festival – Georgetown, CO – July 18th-20th

Estimated read time 14 min read

Groove Music and Arts Festival weighed heavy with Funk, with a liberal helping of Bluegrass and Jam on the side. It also included camping, at a very modest price, and several workshops. Families were strongly encouraged to come; children were free and there was a special camping area for families near the main stage area. While the placement of the bands on the schedule wasn’t perfect, the musical selection was fantastic, the venue was gorgeous and the people who came were equally beautiful. All in all, it was an amazing weekend.
