Before the madness began, Listen Up Denver! had the pleasure of speaking with founder and bassist Marc Brownstein, of The Disco Biscuits fame, about how this project started, what it is that makes Electron so fun to see, and what his plans are for early in 2015.

The Infamous Stringdusters kicked off their 2012 Colorado run by strolling into Fort Collins last Friday for a night of wicked picking, soothing harmonies and all-out fun at The Aggie Theater. Running through tunes from their newest release ‘Silver Sky’ as well as classics from their growing repertoire of alternative Bluegrass craftsmanship, The Stringdusters wowed a sold-out crowd and provided a welcomed glimpse into the newest generation of bands taking the genre to the next level.

The Motet – December 31st – The Aggie Theatre

An eager, party hungry, crowd gathered at The Aggie Theater Saturday evening to celebrate the end of 2011 with one of the most revered bands in Colorado music today, The Motet. The rang in the New Year with a lengthy set, clocking in at well over 2 hours, and they only cut the music a few times, instead opting to melt peoples brains with mind bending transitions. Quite simply this was one of best jam and free form concerts we’ve witnessed. To the Motet, we raise our glasses once again! Happy New Year!
